Wantage Junior Chess Tournament 2018

The Wantage Chess Club are organising a tournament for young people in the St John’s Rooms at the Parish Church, Main Street, GROVE OX12 7LQ on Saturday 28th April. Play starts at 9.30 am (registration between 9 am and 9.15 am) and will finish by 1.00 pm.

Sections will be organised by age group e.g. under 7 under 8 etc. and open. Sections may be merged or divided for scheduling purposes if necessary. Players from outside the Wantage area with ECF reference grades may only enter the Open Section.

Prizes will be awarded and each player will receive a commemorative certificate.

No particular standard is required and the organisers expect entries from beginners as well as more accomplished players. Light refreshments will be available free to contestants. Tea and coffee will be available for parents at a small charge.
