Well done to Richard who managed to beat both the A34 traffic and his opponent. From the little I saw of it Richard was a rook up relatively early on.

Stephen Cartmell, on his first outing for the club, was a pawn or two adrift, and this was enough for his opponent to clinch the win in the end game.

I saw almost nothing of Wojciech’s game, other than he was down a piece.

Both Stephen Morris's and Simon's games were even throughout, although again, I didn’t see much of them.
In my own game I had a strong attacking position early on, but an ill-conceived attack resulted in the loss of a knight. Fortunately my opponent was left with no developed pieces, so I was able to maintain an attacking position, and a blunder by my opponent allowed me to regain my lost knight, and eventually pick off both his remaining pawns to force a draw.
